    Duties & Responsibilities


    • Performs quarterly reserve analyses
    • Compiles monthly reports to BerkleyNet functions and to Corporate Actuarial
    • Assists in rate filing
    • Assists in regulatory reporting such as data calls and financial calls
    • Improves data infrastructure and granularity from existing sources
    • Develops programs to complete tasks and improve processes
    • Assists when needed in the development of predictive models
    • Communicates results outside the department as needed
    • Ad hoc investigations





    • Must possess a Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field
    • 0-2 years of experience in an actuarial or property and casualty insurance setting
    • Pursuing actuarial qualification from the Casualty Actuarial Society
    • Fluent in Microsoft Office tools such as Excel
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Critical thinking and investigative prowess




    • Two or more CAS actuarial exams
    • Working knowledge of two or more of the following tools: SAS, SQL, R, Python
